Marshall
Michigan
A wealth of notable 19th Century architecture still remains intact within Marshall's National Historic Landmark District. Marshall is euphemistically known as "hospitality's home" owing to the welcoming nature of its citizens. The 4th of July chicken barbeque in the town square comes complete with patriotic tunes presented by the community band, children's bike and pet parades. All of which have caused more than one visitor to call Marshall a "Norman Rockwell town". Marshall hosts Michigan's oldest county fair which began in 1848. The Annual Historic Home Tour (weekend after Labor Day) will celebrate 57 years of opening doors in 2022!
